Miss Dawn

Oh hi.

My name is Kelsie Dawn, but I answer to Kelsie-kels, Miss Dawn, Sister Matheson... I better stop there before my whole bio is filled with nicknames. This is a record of my thoughts. I am a simple fella who tries to find rainbows when there is no rain in sight. I would love to say that I am happy all the time, but I am not. I love ice cream and crave it daily which conflicts with my health-nut-ness. Oh, and I must admit that I am a really good creative cook.

My husband and I met in San Jose, California where we were both missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am here to say there were NO fireworks or "electric handshakes" the few times we saw each other. We never wrote after he returned home, in fact we will both admit that neither of us even thought about the other. I returned home May of 2014, that same day Brayden Facebooked me and got my information. I gave him my number, he waited the three days before contacting me (man-code?) and we went on a date two days later.

If you think that was fast: brace yourself.

Six weeks after we started dating we were engaged and married in the Manti, Utah LDS Temple October 24, 2014. He gave up a baseball scholarship at Lewis-Clarke State so that we could get married. We now live in Provo, Utah doing the student-working-married life thing.

Hello Simple Fellow
Life has enough complications in it. My blog is about making life simpler... Not in the organized, scheduled, clean way (I wish). No, this blog is about making life simpler by just recognizing the simple significant moments that happen everyday.

Enjoy. You are welcome.
